Tasks (assignments) 2 - Execution and evaluation

Now that you have created your assignment and the students have received it. Let's see how you solve it and what is the evaluation and feedback process.

Within the task life cycle, once the students receive the assignment, they can proceed to execute it, making a submission.

In the ongoing section, the teacher can see which students are submitting assignments and which are not. This submission can be done throughout the assignment's lifecycle until its deadline.

Step by Step

Execution of the task

The student view reflects the same structure as the teacher's task creation. First, the student can see the statement and access the resources needed to perform the task.

Move forward to see the task progress and other information.

Instructions and development

At this point the student will see the information to execute the task and the time limit if any (for example in the case of an exam).

Time to submit!

The student can see here the information about the format of the submission, the file type and weight. In the case of a file they can drag it to the upload box.

At this point the student can either save the assignment and not submit it yet (e.g. for further review) or click the Submit button to leave the completed exercise.

Delivery in Kanban

The student will be able to see on his task board how the task has automatically advanced to the Under review column. Now the exercise is in the teacher's hands awaiting evaluation.

Task back to the teacher

When the teacher accesses his general or subject dashboard, he will find a card indicating his students' submissions. On this card he can also find out if there are any open conversations by the students (chat icon at the bottom right of the card).

From here you can proceed to the correction by clicking on it.

Review ongoing

In the ongoing section it will also be possible to know at a glance the deliveries and the status of the correction process.

Correction of the submission

In the correction screen, the teacher will be able to access one by one to the deliveries made by the students.

In addition to the numerical evaluation (or with letters depending on the evaluation mode chosen in the platform installation), the teacher can activate the option "Add feedback to the student..." to give a qualitative evaluation.

If necessary, the teacher can open the chat with the student to talk live. Click "Save and send feedback" to close the evaluation of this student.

Closed task in the kanban

As soon as the teacher evaluates the assignment, in the student's Kanban the card automatically goes to the Done status and the student can archive it if he/she wishes.

Grade card

At Leemons we don't want you to miss anything, so when teachers submit a grade, students receive a card on their general and subject dashboards with the evaluation information.

They will only have to click on it to see detailed information such as the teacher's qualitative feedback.
